We successfully harness the power of a range of social media networks to encourage engagement with the destination and the brand.

Twitter is our most popular social media channel with 200,000 Twitter followers and growing, and around 1,000 interactions a week including re-tweets, conversations and mentions. On average, our tweets earn 1.2 million impressions per month. Our Twitter sentiment is very positive, with followers using the channel as an information portal for the area, as well as a satisfaction sharing platform. We also engage with all members’ Twitter accounts to encourage our followers to explore them.

Facebook currently has 27,000 page likes and an average weekly total reach of 300,000 fans and is used to encourage discussion and debate and share area-wide imagery. In mid-2015, South Bank London launched its Instagram account which now counts over 31,000 followers and an average of 50,000 impressions per week.
