Open House London South Bank Then and Now

As part of Open House London, South Bank Employers’ Group will play host to a series of guided tours which will showcase how dramatically South Bank has changed since the early 1990s and what the future holds for the area.

Today South Bank is synonymous with being London’s cultural heart. A buzzing area packed with unique events, big attractions and millions of visitors from all over the world as well as being a favourite destination for Londoners.

Rewind 25 years and the district is virtually unrecognisable. Visitors will be able to join expert blue badge guides on this fascinating tour which showcases just how much South Bank has changed – from how it was perceived by Londoners and visitors alike to the eventual dismantling of Cardboard City.

As well as looking back, visitors will be enlightened on what the future for South Bank and the exciting developments that are due to take place in the much-loved riverside destination.

The South Bank – Then and Now Tours will take place on the weekend of 16 and 17 September 2017.
